  • Anthony Preischel

    Head Coach

“I work in order to give the members here the best place I can provide; the best coaching I can give; the best CrossFit we can be.”

Anthony has been passionate about fitness from a young age and his career as a trainer started in martial arts at the age of 18. Since then, he’s acquired a broad range of accomplishments in the health and fitness industry. He opened his own martial arts school at 19, ran security and provided personal training services simultaneously, and then went onto manage the longest running gym on the east coast. Anthony also became a Licensed Massage Therapist certified in various techniques and gained a clientele that included many professional athletes. After going onto obtain more knowledge and certifications, Anthony began studying up on CrossFit and various other methodologies for their efficacy. He knew he had come across something potent and effective and is now dedicated to providing the best training available in the industry. He’s passionate about helping people become their very best whether directly through coaching, or designing the gym program, or continuing to make sure that the gym and the community evolve along with the sport of fitness.

After his baseball career came to a close, Marc entered into an office job where he found himself becoming unhealthy and the heaviest he had ever been. He was introduced to CrossFit by his cousin and sister and has been hooked since his first workout. Being an athlete, Marc was familiar with many of the exercises and movements frequently used in CrossFit workouts, but he had never experienced them such a potent, short-duration combination. • Micha Meredith

    Coach

“People are continually accomplishing and setting new goals, challenging themselves both physically and mentally, supporting one another through those challenges, and are able to walk out of the gym every day feeling accomplished. There are so few places in most people’s lives that can give them that, and that’s why I love being at CFHK.”

Micha has a background in teaching as a high school English teacher. She credits her athleticism completely to being a part of the Crossfit Hell’s Kitchen community. She’s dedicated to learning and immersing herself in the world of coaching so that she is able to relay everything she possibly can, in the best way possible with her talents as a teacher.

    Certifications:

    • CrossFit Level 1
  • Sadaf Shahsahebi

    Coach

“I get so excited coming in to CFHK to see everyone! Since I’ve started coaching, I’ve come to recognize not just PRs but also the smaller, more incremental improvements in many members.”

Sadaf is a longtime gym rat who played youth tennis and high school water polo. She started CrossFit with Anthony and CrossFit Hell’s Kitchen in 2012. Her love of the sport extended to a Saturday WOD club that consisted of friends who were members and coaches at other CrossFit affiliates. There, she developed a desire to coach and those friends encouraged her to pursue her Level 1 certification. Today, she has a great appreciation for the incremental improvements as much as the significant PRs. And as a coach, she loves being a part of both facets of progress in her members.

Rommel’s athletic background is in high school basketball and as a Taekwondo state champion. He used to instruct group fitness classes at his local traditional gym in California, and he became interested in CrossFit as it started growing in the fitness industry. Rommel moved to New York and was a member at CrossFit Hell’s Kitchen for a year before he became a coach. He’s a passionate coach who strives to learn and improve every day, and he loves seeing the members make steady progress over time.
